… “Where the grass is green and (the gaming is pretty?)”. That’s right… Right? Well it looks like there’s an amazing new gaming remaster coming our way, and very.. very soon!
10 years ago now, back in 2008 (when life was simple, we had no responsibilities, and our biggest worry was if our best mates would be playing online after school), developers Criterion Games and EA released Burnout Paradise on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Burnout Paradise allowed players to drive free reign and compete in races/time trials etc. either online with friends or alone. It was one of those games that you wouldn’t ever really tire of (tyre of… right? No?), and I can remember many nights being spent roaming the streets of Paradise City.
It was only made better with the release of various DLC packages, including but not limited to the use of Bikes and other weird and wonderful vehicles. But most notable was the release of the Big Surf Island DLC which added an island that players could travel to. This therefore extended the map, as well as adding extra vehicles and challenges too.
Well… on March 16th 2018, we’re getting a REMASTER of Burnout Paradise, which will include all 8 DLC packages, all on the one disc. You may remember them releasing Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box Edition on last-gen in 2009. So it’s effectively the same thing as that, but better graphics etc etc etc. Great news right!?
I’m so excited to head back to Paradise City on console. I didn’t expect it to be so soon after the announcement, but I guess that can only be a good thing! Only 3 and a half weeks until it’s out. It’s expected to retail around £35… that’s a price I’m certainly willing to pay to head back in time to such good times!
